University of Houston – Clear Lake
This new $65.7 million STEM and Classroom Building at the University of Houston – Clear Lake campus, was completed in 2018. The 121,575 square-foot building provides state of the art classrooms, research labs and offices dedicated to the study of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Pieper’s team handled the installation of the main electrical systems, fire alarms, primary power duct and the cabling from CenterPoint Energy throughout the building, which includes two-story and three-story sections. In addition to the labs and classrooms, the STEM building houses a tiered lecture hall that seats 100 and an astronomy observation deck.
