An Ounce of Prevention is Worth a Pound of Cure
Thermal Imaging Preventative Maintenance

Mother tends to have a lot of advice that we should probably heed more often, like 'look before you leap' or 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away.' In the realm of electrical circuits, power supply and system maintenance, you wouldn't think any of mother's old semantics would be brilliant words of advice, right? Wrong. Here at Pieper, we are taking the motherly adage 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure' to heart. Mother may not have been spot on about everything, but one thing she did have right was that it's easier to prevent a problem than to fix one—especially when it comes to your electrical system.
The electrical system serves as the backbone of building operations; when it fails the entire building can go down. A catastrophic failure of the electrical system could equate to loss of life, computer data and employee productivity and may upset tenants. A thermal imaging survey can identify trouble spots before disaster strikes. Typically when electrical components begin to fail, they become less efficient and the heat emitted increases, sometimes slowly, other times rapidly until all the lights go out.

Pieper's thermal imaging surveys can detect anomalies early, allowing for time to safely repair the problem spots. Imagine the cost of equipment repair or replacement and the loss of profits during an electrical failure compared to the cost of thermal imaging testing; a little money and prevention now could save a lot of money and headache later. At Pieper, our trained and certified technicians use the most advanced thermal imaging testing equipment to provide detailed reports with digital photographs of trouble areas, along with an overall building electrical evaluation and solutions to any identified issues.

Thermal imaging testing is best preformed under a full load, so it can be completed during normal working hours with no disruption to your daily schedule. Ask about Pieper's thermal testing program, because as mother always said, 'an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.'

Featured Project: Hewlett-Packard
Pieper and Hewlett-Packard have been doing amazing things together for nearly 21 years. HP's Houston office is constantly expanding, remodeling and evolving and Pieper has been there helping them every step of the way. Over the years, Pieper has handled 95% of HP's Houston manufacturing facilities, installed and maintained much of the electrical infrastructure and wired many interior office build outs and remodels. Devoted to quick and dependable service, Pieper maintains a permanent staff of 4-10 workers on HP's Houston site to ensure that HP is always up and running.

Pieper's most recent contract for HP consisted of completely wiring a new testing facility and installing a one megawatt generator for the standalone building. Under short time constraints, Pieper finished the project in just three months, allowing HP to get a jump start on testing new technologies and put their products to market. Continuing their long-standing service relationship, Pieper is now looking ahead with HP, ready to undertake their next endeavor together.
A word from our clients:
I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for all the hard work you did in relation to Building 12, floors 2 & 3. The teamwork involved on this project was truly an achievement and it would not have been possible without all your efforts and dedication. Once again, thank you all. It was a pleasure working with you on this project. Regards,
