History

Pieper Electric was first started by Mr. Chuck Pieper in 1958 providing residential electrical wiring in what was then the rural area of Houston, known as Spring Branch, Texas. Mr. Pieper founded this family-owned company based solely on honesty, integrity and quality of service, the same three principles Pieper-Houston Electric operates under today.

Over the years, the company has changed ownership several times between employees within the Pieper family. Mr. Victor A. Vitanza (current Vice President) owned the company from 1975 to 1988, and Mr. G.W. “Bud” Walters assumed ownership of the firm in 1989. The company has grown from a small family residential contractor to a full service commercial contractor serving the Greater Houston area. Pieper is now designing and installing projects as large as 430,000 square feet and holds a significant aggregate bonding capacity in excess of 40 million, based on current work in progress.

Pieper-Houston Electric L.P. has grown to serve many of the leading commercial general contractors in the city by maintaining their superior service relationships and outstanding quality of work.
